Vermont Green FC is pleased to announce that the first of three friendly matches to be held at Virtue Field this summer will be against Kingston Stockade FC. The match will be played on Wednesday, June 7th at 7:00pm.

Kingston Stockade FC was formed in 2015 by Dennis Crowley with a principle of Open Source Soccer that has changed the landscape of lower division soccer and inspired the formation of many new clubs, especially in communities outside of the “professional markets.” Stockade FC boasts one of the strongest attendance figures in their league.

“We can’t be any more excited to bring the Stockade squad to Vermont for a friendly,” said Stockade FC Chairman, Dennis Crowley.  “We have a deep respect for everything they’re building, and I’m excited that both our players and traveling fans will get to experience a Vermont Green game day.”

The match is an exhibition and will not count towards USL League Two standings. Friendly matches provide valuable playing opportunities for Vermont Green squad players and will feature all regular food, drink, and matchday experience as league matches. The match will be live streamed for free on Vermont Green FC’s website.

“We look forward to welcoming Stockade FC to Burlington for a celebration of grassroots soccer and a chance to bring two vibrant sports communities together.” said Patrick Infurna, Vermont Green FC co-founder.

Over 900 fans have already secured their 2023 Vermont Green FC season tickets — more than double the total from last season. Season tickets are just $70 for adults and $35 for youth and include all friendly and playoff matches. Single match tickets will be available at a later date.
