Wolff and his like-minded people are in the process of “building a club that puts the environment first in all business decisions”. They use the English Forest Green Rovers as a role model, which are vegan and were recognized by the United Nations in 2018 as the first climate-neutral football club in the world. “We love soccer and see an opportunity to support the development of the beautiful game in Vermont by providing access to the highest level of men’s soccer in the state,” Wolff said, adding, “We also recognize that the climate crisis is real and affects us, and that each of us can actively contribute to it. We are building a competitive club that Vermont residents will be proud to call their own.”
