Vermont Green FC presents the 2023 Home Kit: “The Wildflower Kit”. The new tops were designed by club co-founder Matthew Wolff. 💐
“The kit was designed to honor Vermont’s natural beauty — more specifically, the reemergence of greenery, and the colorful bloom of springtime.” said club co-founder and designer Matthew Wolff. “It also reflects the vibrant energy that fans have come to expect when Vermont Green takes the field in Burlington.”
The 2023 Home Kit will feature familiar details for Vermont Green FC fans, as the logos of founding partners SunCommon and Burlington Beer Co. will once again feature proudly on the shirt. The club is grateful for their continued support, helping to grow a budding football culture in Vermont, together.
The club will continue to wear the 2022 Away and Alternate kits in the 2023 season.
Vermont Green FC kit partner, PlayerLayer, produces garments with a manufacturer that is a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, operating in state-of-the-art factories designed with climate change and environmental stewardship in mind. They use the Higg Index product tools to measure the environmental and social impacts of all products.
Each kit is made from approximately 23 recycled plastic water bottles and is Global Recycling Standard certified. We’re playing a small part in helping our manufacturer convert more than 12 million recycled plastic water bottles into new products each year.
The two factories that produce our kits are covered in 992 solar panels that will generate power savings equivalent to over 340 tons of carbon dioxide. This is equivalent to taking nearly 74 passenger vehicles off the road each year.
The factories have award-winning recycled waste management systems that include paper, metal, plastic, fabric, food, hazardous, and mixed waste. Waste fabric from production is collected and sent to a facility to be upcycled into other products.
2023 Home Kit is available for purchase in the Vermont Green FC shop and at every Vermont Green FC home match. Fans who attend the Season Kickoff Event at Burlington Beer Co. from 6-8pm on Wednesday, May 17th will have the opportunity to purchase the kit in person.
