The USL W League has confirmed that the Northeast Division will launch with five founding clubs in May 2026.

Vermont Green FC announced its commitment to USLW in October 2025, with participation in the 2026 season contingent on a minimum of five founding Northeast Division clubs. The Green will form the new division alongside Hartford Athletic, AC Connecticut, New England Mutiny, and Hudson Valley Crusaders.

“We’re thrilled to receive confirmation from the USL that the W League Northeast Division will kick off this May,” said Vermont Green co-founder Patrick Infurna. “It’s been a multi-year journey to get to this point, and we’re ready to compete for trophies in the country’s top pre-professional women’s league.”

Vermont Green has fielded teams for three Women’s Exhibition Matches over the past two seasons. Coached by US Women’s National Team legend Sam Mewis, the Green won all three matches in front of sold out crowds at Virtue Field.

Ticket and schedule information for the 2026 season will be announced in the coming weeks.
