Dr. Begly has been a dedicated volunteer for Vermont Green FC for over two years, lending his expertise to assess and treat injuries while sharing sports medicine insights and guidance on preventive care.
He practices orthopedics and sports medicine at Central Vermont Medical Center, a member of the University of Vermont Health Network, from offices in Waterbury Center and Berlin.
Before joining CVMC, Dr. Begly studied at Vail’s Steadman Philippon Research Institute, establishing himself as one of New England’s premiere experts in minimally invasive arthroscopy for athletes with hip impingements and labral tears.
He is also highly skilled in managing complex knee and shoulder injuries, including ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair and rotator cuff repair.
Dr. Begly provides sports team coverage for area high schools and colleges. He is also a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team physician.
