Greetings Vermont Green FC fans! We miss you, a lot.
We want to give you an update on 2026 tickets.
Last season, we quickly learned that the number of folks who wished to attend a match far exceeded the capacity of Virtue Field. Playoff tickets selling out in a nanosecond is a cool story, but it wasn’t a fun reality for the thousands of fans who missed out despite clicking ‘Add to Cart’ when they were released at exactly 10:00:00am.
We heard your feedback, and we’re launching a lottery for high-demand tickets. It’ll be for U.S. Open Cup matches (week of Feb 9), followed by Women’s Season Tickets (week of Feb 16).
Instead of rushing to the site at a set time, fans will have one week to enter the lottery. Winners will be randomly drawn and given 72 hours to complete their purchase. The goal of the lottery is to make the ticket acquisition process more equitable.
Here’s a breakdown of how and when tickets will be available in 2026:

2026 U.S. Open Cup Tickets
- Vermont Green vs Portland Hearts of Pine: Tuesday, March 17 at 7pm
- Lottery entry window: February 9 to February 15
- Winners notified by: February 20

- Lottery entry window: February 16 to February 22
- Winners notified by: February 27

- Fans who do not win the lottery will be automatically added to a waitlist for future Women’s Season Ticket opportunities.
- After February 22, the waitlist will become first-come, first-served.

- 2025 Men’s Season Ticket holders renewed for 2026 and no additional season tickets were made available.
- At a later date, we will share information on how to join a waitlist for future Men’s Season Ticket opportunities.
Our club is incredibly grateful for this moment. The passion Vermonters have shown for the game of soccer has surpassed our wildest dreams and captured the attention of the entire country. We know there has been frustration around acquiring tickets, and we’re committed to building a system that is equitable and best serves the demands of our community.
We’re also exploring options for expanding the capacity at Virtue Field, but there are multiple factors that make this no simple task. As the club grows, so must our infrastructure. Whether it’s working with the University of Vermont on mutually beneficial stadium expansion, or continuing the early search for a home of our own, please know that the growth of our club and mission are a top priority.
