Vermont Green Football Club has released the Training and Pre-Match Tops for the 2024 season. The tops are designed by club co-founder Matthew Wolff and produced by official kit partner PlayerLayer using 100% recycled materials.

The 2024 Training Top features a groovy green design and proudly displays the iconic logo of Ben & Jerry’s across the front of the jersey. The top also features the logo of Burlington-based e-commerce marketplace Myti on the sleeve.

The 2024 Pre-Match Top will be worn during warm ups and by all bench players at every Vermont Green FC match, home and away. The predominantly black garment has a unique green-blue ice dye effect and displays the Zero Gravity logo on the front. The back neck of the shirt reads ‘CLIMATE ACTION NOW!’, a critical call to action of the club’s Environmental Justice mission.

The lower portion of both shirts shows the 1% For The Planet logo, a universal mark on all Vermont Green FC match and training jerseys, representing the club’s commitment to donate 1% of all revenue to environmental non-profits.

The goal with all of our kits and apparel is to reflect our community and our mission,” said Matthew Wolff. “We always encourage fans to think critically about their apparel purchasing, and only purchase items that they’ll get good use from. When the garment is no longer desired, we encourage donating it or recycling it in our Closed Loop Program.”

PlayerLayer produces garments with a manufacturer that is a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, operating in state-of-the-art factories designed with climate change and environmental stewardship in mind. They use the Higg Index product tools to measure the environmental and social impacts of all products. Each kit is made from approximately 23 recycled plastic water bottles and is Global Recycling Standard certified.

Vermont Green FC will release the 2024 Home Kit before the first home match of the season.
