Vermont Green FC has announced it will host Providence City FC on Tuesday, May 27 at 6pm in a friendly match at Virtue Field.
Providence City FC are based in Providence, Rhode Island and compete in the Bay State Soccer League. The Rogues have made a name for themselves in the New England soccer scene, winning multiple league titles and showing their prowess in national competitions like the USASA Amateur Cup. In addition to on-field success, the Rhode Islanders have awed national and international fans with their clever, authentic kit designs and club culture.
“Providence City is a club we’ve admired for some time,” said Vermont Green FC co-founder Matthew Wolff. “Their approach to building club culture and their success on the pitch has inspired us since before Vermont Green FC even existed.”
The friendly match will be an important test for Chris Taylor’s Vermont Green FC, who will be in need of a tune-up before the club’s USL League Two home opener the following weekend.
Tickets to this friendly match, as well as the Maple Cup, and Women’s Exhibition Matches are on sale now at tickets.vermontgreenfc.com. The full schedule will be released tomorrow, February 18.
