Vermont Green Football Club has announced its sporting staff for the 2024 USL League Two season. Sporting Director and Manager Adam Pfeifer will enter his third season leading the club with Assistant Manager Chris Taylor and Athletic Trainer Kate Harney rejoining his staff. Pfeifer has also appointed Brad Agoos and Lee Williamson as Assistant Coaches. The 2024 sporting staff has already had time to gel — the group was together for the 2024 U.S. Open Cup matches in March and April.

As Vermont Green FC prepares for its third campaign, it will do so once again under the leadership of Adam Pfeifer. The manager will look to build on an impressive 19-7-2 regular season record since starting with the club in the inaugural season in 2022. Pfeifer was at the helm as the Green made their U.S. Open Cup debut, guiding the club to an historic victory over professional side Lexington SC before being narrowly eliminated in the Second Round by Carolina Core FC.

“We saw improvement from year one to year two, and as we get ready to start our third season we feel confident that the talent we’re bringing in will continue to raise the standard.” said Adam Pfeifer. “I speak for myself and my staff when I say we can’t wait to get back to work and see what we can achieve together this summer. We’re counting down the days to when we can get back out to Virtue Field with the community.”

Brad Agoos

Pfeifer’s staff will include the return of his Assistant Manager Chris Taylor, also for his third season. The Liverpool-native and SUNY Plattsburgh Men’s Soccer Head Coach will continue to bring his vital collegiate and USL League Two experience from across Lake Champlain as the Green set their sights high for the summer campaign.

Also rejoining the Sporting Staff is Kate Harney, the club’s Athletic Trainer. Harney, who works at Vermont State University-Johnson during the academic year, will begin a third season working with the club. She is also the first staff member to be named for the Vermont Green FC Women’s Exhibition Match on June 22nd.

The club welcomes two new members to the staff with the addition of Brad Agoos and Lee Williamson.

Lee Williamson

Brad Agoos of Williston, VT brings a wealth of experience to the club as a former professional player and as a coach. Agoos was a player-coach for Vermont Voltage in 1998 before beginning a coaching career that included time with the University of California, Seattle University, Portland Timbers U18, and Norwich University. He was the Head Coach of Black Rock FC in 2021, competing in the USL League Two Northeast Division, and is currently working at the youth level with Nordic Soccer Club.

Lee Wiliamson of Essex Junction will be an Assistant Coach for the 2024 USL League Two season. The Northern Ireland native is a Senior Staff member of local club Far Post SC, and brings playing experience at the youth level throughout Europe and the senior level with Crusaders FC in Belfast.

Training begins this Tuesday, May 14th before the first game of the USL League Two season on Sunday, May 19th away at Boston City FC. The home opener will be Saturday, May 25th at 2pm at Virtue Field vs Pathfinder FC. Tickets are available now at tickets.vermontgreenfc.com.
