Burlington, Vt., May 12, 2022 – Today, Vermont Green Football Club announced SunCommon, an iSun company, as its title partner ahead of the club’s inaugural 2022 season. The partnership includes the SunCommon logo prominently displayed on the chest of Vermont Green FC’s match jerseys. With this partnership, Vermont Green Football Club aligns with a B Corp dedicated to tearing down barriers to clean energy and using their business as a force for good.
“From our first conversation, it was clear SunCommon understood what we’re building at the Club, and that they are committed to the success of our environmental justice mission,” said Keil Corey, co-founder and chief purpose officer at Vermont Green FC. “We’re absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with SunCommon as we kick off our inaugural season this summer!”
The title sponsorship will help Vermont Green FC launch its first season, secure sustainably-sourced kits, pay for the venue, staff, and medical teams, and help the club promote its clean energy initiatives. In addition to the jersey, the SunCommon logo will be featured on stadium signage. The company will also have a table at home games at which people may learn more about solar energy.
“You can’t have ‘the beautiful game’ without a beautiful planet,” said Madeline Brydges, senior manager of digital marketing at SunCommon. “Soccer is dependent on healthy, vibrant communities coming together to play the world’s most celebrated sport.”
SunCommon is on a mission to make renewable energy accessible and affordable. They quickly became the largest residential solar installer in Vermont offering solar, community solar, and battery storage options to homeowners and small businesses.
“We love our community, and it’s in our nature to partner with other organizations who also care deeply about our little corner of the world,” Brydges added. “Meeting people where they’re at in conversations centered on environmental justice can be tricky, and VGFC is doing an excellent job leading by example and showing sports fans and other teams how sustainability can, and should, be done.”
