Vermont Green FC Intern Zora Flash recently sat down with striker Yaniv Bazini for some rapid fire questions about soccer, life, and his favorite dance move.
At what age did you begin playing soccer?
I started to play soccer at age 5. I started playing after my friends showed me the game, and I fell in love.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
I played handball and a little tennis and basketball here and there. Mostly soccer.
Why Vermont Green FC?
I came to Vermont a year ago and fell in love with the community and city, and was impressed with Vermont Green FC and what they were trying to achieve with the mission. When I got scouted to play here I said I would love to be a part of it.
Describe your dream vacation?
Somewhere in Thailand with a beach, good view, mountains.
Favorite ice cream flavor?
Cookies and Cream or Golda’s Salted Caramel with Pretzels.

5 siblings: 4 brothers and 1 sister.

What advice would you give kids wanting to play college soccer?
Work hard, never give up, do what needs to be done when it needs to be done whether you like it or not, and the most important thing is to enjoy.
Would you rather live in the ocean or on Mars?
Ocean – because I can go all over the countries whenever I want to. Mars is too far.
