Onto the Round of 16, the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Vermont Green FC will go head-to-head with the top seed FC Motown on Sunday night after advancing past Hudson Valley on Friday. FC Motown is the only other club remaining in the USL League Two Playoffs that is unbeaten, and the New Jersey-based side boast the best record in the country, finishing their Metropolitan Division Championship campaign with 11 wins and 1 draw.

90 minutes of intense soccer stand between these two unbeaten division champions, and a place in the Eastern Conference Final is on the line. The Vermonters, on- and off-the-pitch, will need to be at their very best if they want to keep the dream season rolling for another week.

HISTORY

Sunday’s match will be the first ever meeting between Vermont Green FC and FC Motown.

MOTOWN IN FOCUS

FC Motown was founded in 2012 in Morristown, New Jersey and competes in two separate semi-professional leagues: USL League Two and NPSL. The club is partnered with the youth soccer organization STA, and competes through the youth levels and state leagues. They play their home matches at Drew University’s Ranger Stadium and Montclair State University’s MSU Soccer Park.

The Celtics, as they are known, won the 2022 NPSL National Championship, and have multiple division titles and U.S. Open Cup appearances.

In 2025, Motown finished atop the Metropolitan Division table, claiming the title over rivals Long Island Rough Riders. They enter the playoffs with the highest PPG (points per game) of any club in the nation (2.83). Vermont Green entered the playoffs fifth in the nation in PPG (2.57). There are 144 clubs in USL League Two.

ARNAUD ON FIRE

He’s the talk of the town: Arnaud “Babbas” Tattevin, the sensational striker. After his come-from-behind hattrick in front of 2,700+ fans in the stadium, and hundreds more cheering from the hill.

Tattevin has come alive with the spotlight on him, and he serves as cultural and on-field leader in the clubhouse. Chris Taylor could once again look to the Central African Republic international for a boost of energy on Sunday night against the best team in the country, and if Arnaud is on the field, you better believe he has the ability to tap into that Virtue Field magic.

ON THE CONCOURSE

El Gato, Kona Beachside, Jilib Jiblets, Sabah House, and South End Sliders will be serving on the concourse. Ben & Jerry’s will be scooping FREE ICE CREAM! Arrive early to enjoy the concourse full of food vendors, tabling partners, and more!

TICKETS

The match is sold out. Fans without tickets can observe the match for free from the hill behind the north goal.
