Vermont Green FC goalkeeper Francesco Montali has signed a professional contract with Minnesota United FC of Major League Soccer. He will depart Vermont immediately to join his new club. Montali, who signed with the Green during the club’s U.S. Open Cup run in April, played in five matches, and conceded just one goal.
“Cesco has been an incredible addition to our club since he first arrived back in the Spring, and we’re so happy now to see him get the move he deserves.” said Vermont Green FC Sporting Director and Manager Adam Pfeifer. “We are beyond happy for him, and the whole club extends our sincere congratulations. This is another example of what we want our club to be, a place where top talent like Francesco can show their quality and earn the professional contracts they’re after.”
Everyone at Vermont Green FC wishes Francesco all the best for this exciting new stage of his career. Once a Green, always a Green!
