Dear Vermont Green FC fans,

We want to extend a sincere apology for the inconveniences caused by the delays and eventual cancelation of our July 10th match against Boston Bolts.

Although we cannot control the weather, the circumstances surrounding the game made it difficult to provide clear and concise communication, as we worked with USL League Two, Boston Bolts, our staff, vendors, and the many external parties that make Vermont Green matchdays go. We never want to abandon matches.

The match will not be rescheduled. The league office has decided to rule the match a ‘No Contest’. We will not earn or lose points from the match, and we (and the Bolts) will have one fewer match on our regular season schedules.

Most regrettably, we were unable to share our final regular season home match with you, the fans. Vermont Green FC matches are about more than just soccer, and to lose the chance to celebrate our 2024 campaign with our community is a significant loss.

On a positive note, our season is not over. We head to Ludlow, MA on Saturday night for a WIN AND WE’RE IN scenario against Western Mass Pioneers. If we can win in hostile territory, we will earn a spot in the postseason, and with some luck, we could host the first match. Whether you watch on the stream or make the trip to Lusitano Stadium, there’s still one more big chance to support our Boys in Green.

We are incredibly grateful to our community for the tremendous support this season, and we thank you all for your patience and understanding. Vermont Green FC continues to be a club built by the love and enthusiasm of its supporters, and we cannot wait to continue growing alongside you all.

Up the Green. 💚
