USL League Two has recognized Vermont Green FC captain Moussa Ndiaye as Player of the Month for May 2024. The monthly award honors the best player across all 128 teams in USL League Two.
The Senegalese star has become known for his signature poise, composure, and hard-nosed defending all across New England. Ndiaye’s performances are made more impressive by his versatility, playing as both a centerback and a defensive midfielder through the opening matches of the 2024 season.
“What can I say, it’s just a pleasure to be rewarded with this Player of the Month title, but also I couldn’t accomplish it without my teammates, coaches, staff and this amazing community,” said Ndiaye. “I feel blessed to be part of it. Winning it is a responsibility, and we have to keep it up and keep working because winning a collective award, for instance the Northeast Division with Vermont Green, is the ultimate goal.”

Moussa Ndiaye can be classified either as a midfielder or defender, but has played mostly at the base of Vermont Green’s midfield. He’s incredibly strong in the air, in a tackle, and comfortable on the ball. He can spray passes to anyone on the front line, and commands the middle of the park with ease. His incredible play in May has earned him the designation of Player of the Month.
