GreenSavingSmart, alongside many other organizations and community leaders in Vermont, are contributing to the movement that addresses the challenges of our energy transition in a way that advances equity, equality, and well-being for all people.

The threat of cancellation of today’s game is a small window into the much grander and far more tragic changes unfolding as humanity steadily pollutes our shared atmosphere and warms our planet to fatal levels.

We’re looking at the holiday season differently. We are focusing more on the values that are at the heart of the club. What follows is our approach and an invitation to join us in making the holiday season one that can serve our happiness, the planet, and our society.

Earth Day, after all, is about contemplating our place in the natural ecosystems that miraculously give us everything we need to survive, thrive, and live a life full of meaning.

We believe in hope in the face of uncertainty, and seeing opportunity in the challenging realities of environmental depredation and extreme social inequality.

It has been our intention from the beginning to build a club that is a force for good, a club that benefits all people and the planet. Here’s what that looked like at the tryout.

This is an exciting moment for us. This will be the first time we’re bringing our mission directly to players and it is our first glimpse of our competitive potential on the pitch.

Starting today through January 1st we are opening up refundable season ticket deposits for our inaugural season next year!

We are beyond excited to be building a club that offers our community a platform to connect, share experiences, watch the highest level of men’s soccer in the state, and participate in the movement to make our world a better place.

We committed to not cutting any corners in this process and we’re very excited we are able to offer products that align with the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.

We set out on a mission to imbue our kits and apparel with meaning and to be a source of pride for all who wear them.

We’re thrilled to see the conversation around climate change moving towards climate justice in Vermont, which is leading to broader conversations on environmental justice. We’ll be following the work of VNRC and many other organizations as they push our legislators to address the inequities of environmental and health risks, including those stemming from climate change, among Vermont’s population.

Environmental justice is the crossroads of environmental stewardship and social justice. The era of thinking about these issues separately is coming to a close and a more interconnected understanding is emerging.
